Five Senses Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas

Five Senses Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas

Valentine’s Day is 13 days away and it is time to get a gift for your special love! When it comes to buying gifts for Valentine’s Day, you don’t only have to get teddy bears and chocolate, you can get a ton of other sweet gifts or DIY your own. I love DIYing gifts and you can make the best and thoughtful items. This year, I decided to be creative and share a list of 5 senses for Valentine’s Day gift ideas. Since Valentine’s day is all about love, senses are very lovely and sensual.

Enticing your senses is important and pretty healthy! If you are smelling, tasting, and touching something that makes you feel good, it releases so much dopamine. And if you want your lover to feel good and loved, definitely get these gifts. I chose multiple items for each category; smell, sight, sound, taste, and touch that would work for both men and women. Also, as I was planning about this post, I had a cool thought! How interesting would it be to plan your entire date, utilizing these gifts

What I mean is; since each gift in these sections are all something they can eat, touch, and use, you could utilize them right as they open them up. So, you can hand them perfume, a dress, some jewelry and tell them to put it while you have prepared a beautiful at-home date night. You’ll understand more as you continue to read.

Smell

Five Senses Valentine's Day Gift Ideas
  • Perfume/Cologne

Perfumes and colognes are amazing gifts. You could buy them their favorite scent, or buy them a new scent and see how they’ll enjoy it. This also works great for the idea I wrote about above, tell them to use it as they get dressed.

  • Essential Oils

Diffusers are in right now and I think a box set of herbal essential oil is great. Amazon has so many different types of boxes with different themes and scents.

  • Candles

On Instagram (and other social media,) so many people have launched candle businesses. I swear, every year I turn, I see a new candle brand, so, there are plenty of brands to choose from! I love candles and they’re always a great gift.

  • Soaps & Lotions

A basket full of soaps and lotions would be a perfect gift especially right now with the pandemic. We are all washing our hands frequently so having lotion nearby is handy.

Sight

  • Camera

I’ve seen a lot of people getting into photography due to the pandemic so a nice camera will do. Or if your partner is already into photography, you could get them some camera equipment.

  • Books

Reading is fundamental! Get them a book they’ve been eyeing or surprise them with a book that’s different to what they normally read.

  • Jewelry

Everyone loves jewelry! The latest jewelry trend is rings, so you could surprise them with a box of sorted rings.

  • DIY “Love Letters

I love to DIY gifts and when Christian and I first started dating, I used to make him cute little things all the time. You could make them letters that they can open everywhere or on special occasions like your ten year anniversary.

  • Flowers

I love when Christian randomly gets me flowers! It’s so sweet. Flowers are also the best sensory gift because they look pretty and smell good.

Sound

  • Headphones

Since the majority of people are working from home, headphones are the perfect gift. Get them some noise cancelling ones so they won’t get distracted!

  • Audiobooks

Audiobooks are amazing especially when you’re too busy to pick up a book. They also make the best background music so I think its perfect for people stuck at home.

  • Record Player Or Speaker

I love playing music out loud and dancing in my room. Record players are back in style and collecting records is something I love. Get them a record and a few of their favorite albums.

  • Create A Playlist

Remember when people used to make mixtapes? You can still do that but send it to them as a Spotify or Apple Music link. Make a playlist of their favorite songs and or songs that make you think of them. Music is the way of the soul.

Taste

The most basic (but amazing) gift is chocolates and candy! Stores are packed and full right now of Valentine’s goodies and you could make your love a basket full. Or, you could get some premium goodies like chocolate covered fruits!

  • Home Cooked Meals

Like I said earlier, plan the gifts and turn them into a date night at home. And cooking a home cooked meal will be even special.

  • Spa Kits

A nice at home spa kit with multiple items like bath bombs, bubble bath, face masks, and much more will be a beautiful gift! If your partner needs a night to unwind and have a pamper routine, this is the perfect gift for them.

  • DIY “I Love You Notes” Jar

You can write these notes with cute little sayings liike “I love you,” “You’re amazing,” “You’re beautiful,” and other similar sayings. Put it in a cute mason jar and tell them to open it everyday.
