How To Deal With Holiday Loneliness. Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays to all! Wow, friends, we have finally made it to day 25 of my 25 Days of Christmas series. These 25 days have gone by so quickly and I’m so proud and happy that I completed this, this season! Did you guys enjoy this series? Would you want to see it again next year? Maybe I’ll do vlogmas next year? Anywho, today is Christmas but it is Christmas with a twist this year. By now, the entire world should be aware of Covid-19 and the pain it has caused us all. People have lost their jobs, loved ones, and are suffering with anxiety and depression. So, today, not only do I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas, but I do want to give you tips on how to deal with holiday loneliness. These times right now are tough and if I can help put someone in a good spirit right now, that would be my favorite Christmas gift.

  1. Get Dressed, Put On Some Music, Take Some Photos

Just because you’re home alone, doesn’t mean you can’t still dress up and party with yourself! If you have any festive pajamas or clothing, put it on, crank up your Christmas playlist and document your day. Next year, you’ll be in a better place, where you can look back and smile that even though it was rough, you still made the best out of it! Plus dancing is always a great mood booster.

  1. Worship, Watch The Birth of Baby Jesus

Whether you’re religious or not, watching something as beautiful and sweet as the birth of baby Jesus will put you in a great mindset. I am a Christian so watching the story of Jesus every year is traditional. It puts me in a good mood and reminds me to be happy and thankful for everything that I was able to accomplish and the life I lived throughout the year.

  1. Stay Off Of Social Media

Social media can be harmful and seeing everyone else celebrating with their loved ones can dampen your mood. I would suggest staying off and directing all of your energy onto yourself and your joy.

  1. Facetime Friends & Family

We can’t all be with our loved ones right now so the next best thing is to facetime them and have a virtual get together! You could always eat, dance, play a game, sing some carols or just stare at each other and have a nice conversation. Whatever you choose to do, I’m sure you’ll be happy that you’re still doing something with your family.

  1. Love Yourself & Celebrate Yourself

Lastly, your feelings are valid! They are always valid and it is okay for you to acknowledge them and feel down today! That is your truth and we are all going through something right now. But, I will say, just remember to love yourself and show yourself the utmost appreciation because you deserve it! You’re amazing and got through this horrible year.

Okay, I hope you took something from this post, leave me a comment if you did. Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays to all of you! I hope that you all enjoy and are planning on having an amazing day today, whether you’re meeting up with family, friends, or staying home. Have fun and celebrate! Remember your feelings are valid.
