Happy Friyay and happy day 4 of 25 days of Christmas! As we step into the weekend, I want to give you an ultimate Christmas movie watchlist; to occupy your time! These movies are some of my favorite ones to watch every Christmas season and I’ll never get tired of them. So, make some snacks, get some cocoa, and snuggle up with your loved ones.
The Santa Clause trilogy has to be my all time favorite Christmas movies. It’s funny, heartwarming, cute and so much more. My favorite aspect of these movies is the family aspect. Each character goes through their own personal growth throughout all 3 movies and it’s amazing to see how they all end up becoming one happy family.
The first movie is my favorite because Charlie is so adorable and its such a trip just to get others to believe that Scott is Santa.
DCOMs (Disney Channel Original Movie) are amazing! I love throwback 90s and early 2000s DCOMs and I’ve probably seen each one. The Ultimate Christmas Present is such an underrated but classic movie— that introduced me to Brenda Song. It’s funny, quirky, and entertaining in so many ways.
These two best friends come across a snow machine that Santa lost and they end up making it snow heavily in California. Obviously this causes issues with everyone, the scientists, and Santa himself. Santa then ends up deploying 2 6 foot elves to save the day. It’s great!
This movie does not need an introduction! It is the best Halloween Christmas movie ever. The music, the energy, it’s such a vibe and needs no explanation.
Back when I was obsessed with Chris Brown, I watched this movie repeatedly. It’s a drama filled Christmas family movie with tons of twists and turns. It involves cheating, divorce, fighting but all in all love. It may start off rocky but ends great.
Madea is always a good movie to watch when you’re in the mood for relaxed comedy. This movie tackles race, family issues, bullying and much more. It’s still a Madea movie but with more serious tones. The movie follows a black woman who is married to white man, whose mother has no clue of the truth. This plot centers around this and when it finally comes out, it blows up.
I watch this for the plot!!! Okay but Morris Chestnut and Taye Diggs? Yes! This movie follows the Best Man movies and is a typical drama filled Holiday movie. A few college friends reunite and it ignites old problems, romances, and rivalries. Every classic black actor and actress you can think of is in this movie which makes it even better.
I probably watched this movie at least 100 times in elementary school and somehow, I still enjoy it. For every movie day, we watched this or Holes. The Polar Express is such a feel-good classic movie about these kids who board a train to the North Pole! The movie tackles themes of friendship, bravery, and a good holiday spirit.
I know I always say that I’m tired of Cinderella movies but this and the Hilary Duff movie are the best! This one felt different and more relatable. The love story also felt real and not unrealistic. This Cinderella is a musician who wants to make it big. The “prince” is a rich kid whose family is well known around the world and he just wants a normal life. They connect over them wanting to live their lives the way they want.
I don’t know why I like corny comedies but this was actually funny. Will Farrell movies are always the stupid kind of funny but this just has a lot going on. It’s enjoyable and good to watch when there is nothing else on.
This is a new Christmas romance movie on Netflix and I loved it! It was different, funny, interesting, and the perfect level of corny. The main character finds a holiday date, whom she brings around to every family holiday event. There are no strings attached and obviously that never stays that way. Its a trip!
Okay, that’s all for this post! What is your favorite Christmas movie?
