5 Awesome Shows To Binge Right Now

5 Awesome Shows To Binge Right Now

With the quarantine continuing to extend every 15 days, some of us are starting to go stir crazy. I definitely have reached that level and am trying to find ways to occupy myself, whether it is reading, writing, listening to podcasts, or watching anything at this point. So, I wanted to create a little quarantine series, where I can leave recommendations! To start off this series, I wanted to share 5 awesome shows to binge right now.

Binging shows have become an everyday occurrence in our daily lives. I think people who live under rocks can say that they’ve binged the latest twitter trend and there is nothing wrong with that! We’ve all seen the “hustle and grind during quarantine” memes but c’mon, we deserve a break and for some people, this is their first break in a long time! So, it’s okay to sit and fly through an entire show in one day.

Just like these shows I too flew through them in a blink of an eye and that’s because they were just amazing! I am going to keep the descriptions brief because of spoilers! Lets get into it.

Money Heist or La Casa de Papel

5 Awesome Shows To Binge Right Now

You’ve probably heard this name in the past few weeks because everyone is talking about it. Literally. This show had been on my Netflix list for at least a year and I finally just decided to watch it because it was all over my twitter feed.

Money Heist is a Netflix ES show, that already has 4 seasons. The seasons are listed as parts since they’re essentially continuations. The plot is about a man named “El Professor” who hires a bunch of talented and intelligent people in the world of crime to help him pull off a heist at the Royal Mint in Spain. This show covers everything from action to love to violence but, it is very thought-provoking.

I honestly fell in love with this show because of the characters. Each character is named after a different city around the world and come with their own quirks and talents. They start off rocky but soon become a family and it is pretty cool. Later on in the series, they also end up becoming a symbol of courage for the people and resistance towards the government and police.

Elite

5 Awesome Shows To Binge Right Now

Elite is another Netflix ES show and actually stars 3 actors from Money Heist. Elite may have the same tones of love and wildness but it is different in the fact that it is a murder mystery. Each season focuses on a new mystery and finding out who played a role.

But girl, the drama is what drags you in!! The story takes place in an elite private school (you know rich kid life is always interesting) and follows the main students in their everyday crazy lives. Emphasis on crazy. From throuples to drugs to incest (yeah it goes there) it is wild but addicting.

However, it does talk about important things and because the show starts off with three scholarship students joining, their lives and backgrounds play a big role in those conversations.

Hunters

5 Awesome Shows To Binge Right Now

Hunters is that show that receives a perfect split down the middle. What I mean by that is; you’ll see 50 percent of positive views and 50% of negative reviews. The negative reviews, however, are mostly about the holocaust depictions and parts of the narrative that some think continue to allow racists and nazis to push their rhetoric. Which is understandable.

In my opinion, I thought it was interesting and badass. I mean, a group of intelligent, cool individuals (Jewish, black, etc) going around killing Nazis and racists? Heck yes. It was just different from the normal and it honestly made me feel a ton of emotions.

The show focuses on a young Jewish boy whose grandmother dies which results in him joining a group of individuals who have created a Nazi. hunting group, hunting nazis who sought asylum in the US in 70s New York. The FBI also gets involved and it becomes a big unfolding.

October Faction

5 Awesome Shows To Binge Right Now

This is a show that I think is super underrated! When this show released, I continued to see it pop up every time I opened Netflix and I finally decided to watch it and I’m glad that I did. Yes, its another supernatural, mystical show but I think it is really good.

It follows a family who moves a lot due to their parent’s job. We soon find out that their parents are “monster” hunters, who hunt different supernatural creatures around the world. They end up moving back to the parent’s childhood neighborhood and a lot goes down supernatural wise. I do not want to spoil too much but check it out.

Ragnarok

5 Awesome Shows To Binge Right Now

Yes, it does start off slow but it picks up! Sorry, I just had to get that out of the way because a lot of people that I’ve told to watch, always say “its boring” but no, it gets better,

Ragnarok is a Norse mythology show that focuses on giants and….a few Gods. I won’t get into that part, you’ll just have to watch for yourself. It follows a mother and her two sons who move to a new, eerie town in Norway (I believe) where everything isn’t as it seems. One of the sons starts to go through some changes and realizes he isn’t who he thought he was.

Once again, I don’t want to give away too much so, you’ll just have to check it out!

Okay, there you have it If you have watched these leave me a comment! I have previously written a post on podcasts here but, I think I am going to write another one on a specific type of podcasts.
