5 Ways To Spend Valentine’s Day This Year

5 Ways To Spend Valentine’s Day This Year

Hello, beautiful people! Happy day of love! It is finally Valentine’s Day— I feel like this month has flown by! This year’s Valentine’s Day may be a little different due to Miss Rona over here (I mean, last year I was in Paris and today, I’m on the couch) but you can still have fun and celebrate. Because of the pandemic, a lot of people are writing off holiday celebrations and it is so sad! I know a ton of people who didn’t do anything during the Christmas season and I just want to let you know that you can! As long as you’re being safe, are socially distanced, or doing it from the comfort of your own home, its okay. So, here are 5 ways to spend Valentine’s Day this year.

There are a ton of things to do for Valentine’s Day that doesn’t require you to be outside or around a ton of people. You can have a great romantic night at home, in your car, or in a secluded area.

  1. Paint And Wine Night

I love painting and sipping wine! It is literally two of my favorite things. I may not be an immaculate artist but it is the fun that’s important. You can make this a fun-filled evening; where you and your partner grab some canvases, some of your favorite bottles of wine, and throw on some Bob Ross and have a good night.

  1. Virtual Event

Virtual events are thriving right now! Everything you can think of is being held on zoom. For Valentine’s day, I’ve seen a ton of events on facebook that are shows, poetry readings, concerts and much more being held online! You could probably snuggle up and watch a romantic play from the comfort of your own home.

  1. Couples Spa Treatment

Spa trips are my favorite! And during this time, we’re all stressed and need a little break. There are spas (that are following Covid protocols) that you could visit, get a massage, mud bath, facial and much more and go home relaxed.

  1. Drive-In Movie And Dinner

Movie theaters are dying and drive-ins are making a comeback. I love watching movies– seriously, Christian and I would go to the movies at least once a week before Covid. We went to a drive-in during the summer and it was so cozy. We had our own food, blankets, and made the car feel comfortable and enjoyable.

  1. Make Some Crafts

Its Valentine’s Day, you can’t not make some DIY projects! There are so many ideas on Pinterest and youtube. You and your partner could play a game or do a craft making competition or just have fun! Whatever you choose, make it fun and special.

Alright, that is all for this post! I know things are difficult right now due to the pandemic but you can still try to make the best out of it! What’re your Valentine’s Day plans?

Happy Valentine’s Day lovers!
