2020 Christmas Activities To Do In Boston

2020 Christmas Activities To Do In Boston
  • Virtual Events

Our society has turned into a zoom society. Everything is currently being held online and that includes normal holiday tree lighting events and concerts. I usually love going to the tree lighting events all over the city but sadly, they have all been virtual. You can look at the Boston activities site, and check when and where these virtual events will be held!

  • Holiday Light Shows At Greenway Carousel

This event usually happens in the evening and it is a beautiful Christmas light show! I love lights and how intricate some people make it. They have homes decorated to a T, lights creatively hung, and so much more..

  • Zoo Lights At Stone Zoo

This right here is something I really need to see before the holidays are over! I love animals and this event incorporates animals, lights and from the reviews; it’s an amazing experience. This is held at the Franklin Park Zoo and you walk through the zoo and experience the sights.

  • Snowport Holiday Wonderland and Outdoor Games at Seaport

Seaport has the best pop up events in the city! They’re always amazing– honestly. This event has everything from a variety of winter games, a Christmas market, and tree walks. It’s a fun weekend activity that you can do with your family and friends.

  • Winter Lights at Southwick Zoo

Southwick is another zoo that is doing a light show. This one is a little different though, instead of walking, you drive through the park and see all the wonderful sights. So, you get to stay warm and cozy while you go on a drive through show.

  • Winter LIghts at Naumkeag & The Bradley Estate – Stockbridge & Canton

This is another light event; where you walk through and experience the Christmas beauty. They also have snacks, drinks and other refreshments to keep you in the holiday mood.

  • Ice Skating at Frog Pond

Frog pond is the spot in downtown Boston. Everyone brings their children, dates, and pets to this area. In the summer, kids splash around and in the winter, everyone ice skates. They also do skating events and tournaments here during the winter.

  • Ballet

Lastly, you can catch an original, classic ballet show at the Boston ballet! I love ballet and I’ve seen The Nutcracker a few times. It is an amazing show and I recommend it!

Okay, that is all for you folks! I hope you can at least check some of these out and if you’ve already done so, leave a comment!

This year’s holiday events are completely different due to the obvious elephant in the room– Covid-19. Normally, the city has a ton of events, starting after Thanksgiving and ending after New Years. Sadly, those events are either virtual, cancelled, or packed with so many rules, it’s unenjoyable. However, you can still be festive because there are a few events, activities, and markets happening and some still pending. So, there’s hope! Here are the 2020 holiday activities to do in Boston list for you.
