Coming of age indie movies are my favorite genre. If you didn’t know, my favorite movie is The Perks of Being a Wallflower and I could watch that repeatedly. I don’t know what it is about indie movies but, they just hit different! The music, the aesthetics, the drama, the angst– I love it. If I could be an indie character, I would and luckily, I saw this trend on tik tok and had to hop on! So, here is my interpretation of a coming of age indie film lookbook ideas.

Outfit One – Opening Scene

This is something I actually wear daily. An off the shoulder top with a skirt or mom jeans. I think this is cute for an introduction to a character.

Outfit Two – Meeting Your Love Interest

I didn’t know what to wear for this but I was like hey, maybe some cute pants, some statement shoes and sunglasses that’ll grab their attention and voila!

Outfit Three – First Date

I think the first date outfit would consist of a cute dress or skirt look. Also, I had to add the off the shoulder top.

You know there has to be the dramatic break-up scene where one character runs away heartbroken. I love that I have this shirt because it’s so fitting; “take a compliment.”
