How To Make A Vision Board!

How To Make A Vision Board!

Hello Hello! Today’s blog post is all about making vision boards!

I love vision boards, they’re fun and you can make it about anything! A fashion and beauty one, a success and career one, a future home decor, etc.! They’re really helpful in setting goals and visually piecing together what you want to see happen in the near future.

In the past, I have made some out of only quotes to inspire and push me to work harder, one with only my favorite artists to show my music taste and give me ideas. Today, I decided to make one on fashion and beauty because I have been trying to explore more with my style and be more daring.

So without further ado, continue reading!

Step 1: Gather your materials and figure out what you want your board to be about!

Materials: grid wall hanger, plain white board, actual vision board (you can find these at any craft store but I found a kit here!) clips to hang photos with, scissors because there’s a lot of cutting, and lastly tape because obviously you gotta tape these down!

Board Ideas: food (hey, I’m a foodie and always want to try cooking new recipes) fashion, beauty, shoes, career, home decor, wedding, baby related and much more!

Step 2: Get some magazines or print out some photos online.

So, my roommate had over 100 magazines and gave them all to me so now, I have a room full of magazines waiting to be used for whatever projects I think of!

Step 3: Choose which pictures you want to use.

Flip through the magazines and choose which pictures fit your board’s theme! This is honestly the best part because you get to look at all of the cool styles and designs.

Step 4: Start Cutting & Organizing!

After you’ve decided which pictures you want to use, start cutting them out and organizing how you want to lay them out. This step is important because you don’t want to start taping or gluing anything without piecing them together first. So, lay it out on the ground in front of you and get to it.

Step 5: Bring it to LIFE!

Once you’re done, start taping and hanging everything up! (ps, this photo looks a little crooked because it was hard trying to angle it right!) Once I laid everything out, I knew what I wanted to do and hung everything up and I am pleased with the outcome. I literally glance over at it every day when I’m trying to figure out what to wear. Or, just how extra to look lol.

A little extra post. I wanted to make a bigger vision board but there’s only so much wall space. So, I decided to make a little one behind my ladder bookshelf and make it all cutesy. It’s not finished yet because I want to add more photos of friends and family but this is how it looks!

First, I have this clipboard that comes with about 24 different quotes and this one is my favorite. I got it from Marshalls!

The love sign was a Christmas gift and you can find one on Amazon. The photo of me is the one I use on my about me page and my sister actually made this cool art piece for me as a Christmas gift!

That’s all folks! I hope you enjoyed this post! Honestly, make a vision board! It’s a fun activity and it’ll inspire you every day! Thank you for reading!
