5 Quick, Stylish Summer Outfits! -

Hello Hello! Welcome back, today’s post is a 5 quick and easy stylish summer outfit lookbook!

Summer is probably my second favorite season because you can dress however you want! You can wear a skirt, a dress, jeans, shorts, boots, sandals etc. whereas, in Winter, all I want to wear is a huge coat and a scarf that hides my entire face.

So, I put together a few outfits that I love wearing on a daily basis, to inspire some of you who may need to change up some things in your closet! Or, if you just need some OOTD inspo.

Mellow Yellow

As everyone is saying, yellow is the color this season for black women! I don’t know what it is about this color and my skin tone but, hashtag, in love!

So, this dress is from MetroStyle and it was a hand me down from my sister. I’m not sure if it’s on MetroStyle anymore considering this is more than a couple years old but, I found it on Bonanza! For a while, I didn’t know how I felt about it but, as time went on, I started to try and make an outfit out of it and voila! I love the way I styled it. I call it a perfect date day or date night outfit.

My sunglasses are from Forever 21, they’re the blue tinted black cat eye sunglasses! I couldn’t find the exact pair (the struggle of in-store shopping) but, I found one similar here! My clutch is a simple little black clutch, bought at a random store in my local mall years ago. It’s a typical black purse.

I love the length and versatility of this dress because you can wear it buttoned all the way down or, unbutton it and leave a little slit. Plus, it has pockets and who doesn’t like a dress with pockets?

I threw a hat on to see how it would look and perfecto. The hat works if you’re wearing it during the day by shielding the sun out of your eyes and keeping you comfortable!

2. Pastel Vibes

My mom got me these shorts and I love them because the color is bright and pops. I wear a lot of basic colors like black, white and grey so I always go for a little pop of color may it be my shoes, a bag, or even my lipstick.

I call this look the casual, cute, walking through the city outfit. You know those days when you want to look cute, be relaxed, go downtown for a few hours, pop into a nice but not super fancy restaurant and live life? This is the perfect outfit for that! A nice breezy top, some cute shorts that give you a lot of flexibility and stylish, comfortable sneakers for walking all day.

My top is from Primark. Its actually long sleeved but you can roll it up and make it short sleeved and use in the summer. It’s also really comfortable and breezy!

My shorts are from Guess and my mom bought them from Macy’s!

My sneakers are the Fenty X Puma trainers and I looove them! I have them in white, black and green because they’re extremely comfortable and cute. These pairs though were a steal from Marshalls! So you know, ya girl likes to be bougie on budget and shop on a bargain so number one shopping tip, always check outlets and department stores like Marshalls and TJ Maxx first! Instead of using a bag, I decided to use my camera as an accessory because, if I’m walking through the city, I want to take a few pictures. Plus, some days, I rather go bagless and only carry my wallet that I make bae hold lol.

3. Colors

I call this look colors because of its popping colors!

This look is simple and cute

My pants are thrifted, I got them from Good Will a few months ago and I love it. The wide leg look is something I’m definitely embracing. My shoes are from Payless and honestly, Payless has some steals. These sandals were about $10 and they’re extremely comfortable and stylish.

My shirt is from Primark (again) and it is the softest shirt ever. It also cost me under $10! My black bag is also from Primark, I got it a year or two ago and it’s still going strong. It cost me $12 and it honestly goes with so much.

4. Grunge-esque

Okay, my style is a little bit of everything and grunge is apart of that. I can go from wearing a business outfit to ripped mom jeans and a band tee in the same day.

This outfit can be worn on a regular summer day but I would love it for going to a concert.

My shirt is from Marshalls and it says “Bye Felicia” which I love. If you were to go through my closet, all you’d see are a bunch of graphic tees. They’re my favs. You can wear them with skirts or jeans. You can dress them up or dress them down. You can do anything!

My skirt is from Forever 21 and it is the black denim A-line skirt. This skirt here is very similar! My sneakers are Steve Madden velvet low tops and I got them from Marshalls!

My backpack is a mini black Tommy Hilfiger bag that fits a lot and is good on those days that you need to carry some snacks or tech around!

5. Red, White & Blue

I love a basic white top and jeans look because its so simple but can be very stylish if you pair it with the right accessories.

This outfit can be worn on those cooler summer days where you want to feel warm but cool at the same time. I’d also wear it on 4th of July to a watch the fireworks or something of the sort!

My top is a regular button-down that you can get from any store. I just rolled it around and tied it in front and made a little crop top.

My fanny pack is the same one from Primark that I talked about in this previous post! Its also a belt so you can use it as a belt or put it around your waist. Its super cute.

I got my jeans from Love Culture and they’re high waisted sort of jeggings with two rips I the knees. They’re really comfortable because it’s not really jean material and it’s stretchy and comfy. My shoes are another Primark item that cost me $8 and I love the color. I love having shoes that are a pop of color.
