I MOVED TO SPAIN!

I MOVED TO SPAIN!

My last posts have all started this way but…LONG TIME NO SEE FRIENDS!

I know I said summer time equals new blog posts but that was clearly a lie. I literally still have a tab opened of my London and Italy blog posts that I didn’t finish writing.

Truthfully, this past summer was a mixture of work and sleep BUT… no complaints because it was all for good reasons! My move to Madrid, Spain!

Some of you reading this are probably like “huh? What? When?” So, lets get into it!

During college, I wanted to study abroad but, unfortunately, I was a pretty busy student and studying abroad was too much work in terms of credits so, I didn’t bother and pushed it to the back of my mind.

Luckily, during the beginning of junior year, my therapist brought it back to the forefront. During a session, she had suggested taking time off and traveling abroad for the summer, semester or a full year. Her bringing it up felt like fate.

She told me about all the different ways I could get into Spain and all the different things I could do and experience and soon after, I began researching and planning this trip.

I told Christian about it and all the cool adventures and experiences we could have and he was on board. So, we researched, made connections and had an amazing family friend helping us along the way and providing us with WHATEVER we needed!

The journey wasn’t all that easy (look out for a post on obtaining visas, work and other important information like that) but with her help and all the people she pushed in our direction, it was definitely better.

We have been planning and preparing (seriously) since February and now it is September and we are *finally* in Spain and so ready to start our new journey.

We have so many plans that involve exploring the country and many other European cities, learning the Spanish language, culture and doing some side gigs!

We’ll also be teaching and volunteering at a school, where we’ll be able to get paid and make a living as well as blogging, vlogging and starting a podcast.

We 100% want to document our time here since it will be an entire year. I will continue to focus on this blog, sharing my stories and experiences as well as starting a new journalistic blog called The Pynk Couch.

The Pynk Couch will focus on travel, culture, worldly fashion and basically just making a travel guide for other expats and vacationers.

Our vlog channel will document our time exploring and trying new foods, products, and challenges in every city we visit. And a podcast just on life that we’ve wanted to start for a while now.

Not just do I want to work on career type stuff but work on myself. Since I’ll have more free time and am done with school, I can focus on my overall health!

I truly want to have fun and document our time abroad. It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity that I’m so grateful to experience and I give all glory to God for making it possible.

Stay tuned for more travel, fashion and whatever I want posts! I’ll be writing more!

Also, make sure to follow the pynk couch on instagram (@thepynkcouch) and keep up with me for more updates!
