Hi friends! Welcome back to my blog. Today’s post is my 2018 Summer Bucket LIst!
I’m so excited because summer is finally here! Well not “here here” but we are in the month of June which means its on its way! Yas! I am your typical summer baby who hates winter and being cold so I am always anticipating summer.
Anyways, this summer is the last summer before I graduate college and, I want to make it a memorable one! This means going out, enjoying some fresh air and making memories with friends and family! Summer is the best time to live life and enjoy.
So without further ado, here are the 10 things I definitely want to do this summer and maybe you’ll get inspired to do some of these too!
- Go to a Fair
I love going to amusement parks but I don’t remember the last time I’ve been to a fair and face it, they are totally different. A fair is usually small, local, and cute and located downtown. They’re so cute and filled with fun rides, sugary foods, and a bunch of cute, random vintage trinkets! They’re a perfect summer night go to and make for a great date night. Especially on the 4th of July.
2. Have a Bonfire!
So, I’ve gone camping all my life (literally since I was 4) and we’d sit around the campfire and roast marshmallows on our last day but, I’ve never had a proper bonfire get together. You know, the ones in the movie where everyone is sitting around and you have that one friend playing the guitar. Yeah. It seems so cozy, warm and relaxing and who doesn’t love that after a hot, sweaty summer day?
3. Go Hiking at Sunrise!
Hiking is honestly so much fun and it is very healthy! And I’m all for doing healthy activities. I’ve been hiking numerous times but not at sunrise or sunset. Imagine hiking up a mountain and finally reaching the top and watching that beautiful pink and orange sunrise. Gorgeous! I mean, lowkey, hiking through the woods in the dark may be scary but, we’ll see what ends up happening. Ps, If any of you live in Boston, leave me a comment with suggestions on where to go!
4. Go to a Drive-in Movie!
I adore all things vintage and a car plus a movie? What could be better? I love cars(somebody give me a g wagon or a vintage pink corvette please) because they’re wonderful and super comfortable. I literally fall asleep in cars in…5 minutes of someone driving. I don’t know, the vibrations rock me to sleep. But, laying back the seats of your car, blankets piled on top of you, snacks everywhere, a movie in front of you! That sounds like heaven.
5. Have an Epic Picnic!
Yes, epic. I’m talking about a fun date day picnic at a beach or garden with little finger sandwiches, fruit, wine, cheese and of course bae. So cute and so much fun.
6. Catch Fireflies!
Okay, I always see this in like cute indie films and have always wanted to try lol. It honestly just looks like so much fun and interesting like…its a jar with fireflies! That’s all.
7. Take a Road Trip!
I love going on road trips, who doesn’t? They’re fun, exciting, and adventurous. I want to take a baecation with Mr. Nagle and travel along the east coast, visiting cities we’ve never heard of and take lots of pictures.
8. Go Indoor Skydiving!
I can’t believe I’m saying this but I really want to go skydiving ONE DAY but at the moment, I’m still chicken. So, I decided that I will do it indoors and get the thrill. So many vloggers have done it and I’m like eh, whats the harm? It is indoors. Face your fears people!
9. Go to Festivals!
I love festivals, it’s just so amazing watching them on your phone screen. So fetch right? No. I want to physically experience it. Yes, I do have the privilege of going to Afropunk this summer (whoo!) but, I want to make it a point to go random ones across the city because there is always something happening downtown Boston. Music festivals, cultural festivals, food (yum) festivals, you name it. I shall be attending!
10. Do a Photoshoot!
Last but not least, a photo shoot. Okay, I haven’t done a photoshoot since I was little and my mom dragged me to sears but, now I really want to do a more mature, fashion-based one! I love dressing up, getting my hair and makeup done and snapping a few pics so a professional one would be awesome. And tbh, it could be for anything! Plus, my 21st birthday is coming up, why not a birthday shoot? Pero like…if you’re a photographer reading this, holla at ya girl!
Okay, guys, those are the 10 things on my summer bucket list this year and hopefully I’ll get around to doing them! I’m excited for summer, I think this one will be a great one so, fingers crossed that I find the time to get to all of these!
